Fr. Don is Director of the Office of Mission Effectiveness for Holy Cross Province. He grew up in Des Moines, Iowa. After high school he joined the Passionist Congregation, and in 1965 he professed first vows. After finishing college in Louisville, Kentucky and theology at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago, he was ordained in 1973. Since then he has had a variety of ministries: ten years in two different retreat centers, 8 years as a local superior, and several years on the provincial council, and in 2011 he was elected Provincial. During these years he conducted a few parish missions. Presently, he resides at the Korean Catholic Church in Chicago. He is not assigned to the parish, but covers the one Sunday English Mass and works with the CCD students on Sundays and with the high school students twice a month. His parents and sister are deceased, but has two brothers who are active in their retirements.
