The Passionists at Mater Dolorosa are celebrating 100 years of presence in Southern California!
We look forward to giving thanks to our God with family and friends. We are deeply grateful for the legacy of those first Passionist priests and brothers. They bore witness to our Passionist Charism through their common life of prayer and their zeal for preaching Christ Crucified, God's greatest gift of love for us.
We are incredibly thankful for the many people who have accompanied us all these many years.
On September 15, 2024, the Passionist Community will gather to celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving at St. Rita's Church (Map/Directions) at 3 p.m. PDT.
This Mass will also be live-streamed.
Following the Mass, we will continue the celebration at Mater Dolorosa Passionist Retreat Center (Map/Directions) with a reception, program, and dinner.
We invite you to come celebrate with us!
If you are coming, please let us know the number of people accompanying you so that we can make arrangements accordingly. If you are unable to attend in person, we hope you will join us through live streaming and in spirit through your prayers.
Please inform us by RSVPing here by June 30 whether or not you can join us in person.
May the Passion of Jesus Christ be always in our hearts!
Fr. Clemente Barrón, C.P. Local Superior Mater Dolorosa Community
