Our Passionist charism calls us to keep alive the memory of Christ’s Passion and respond with love to those who suffer today.
Laudato Si’ reminds us that care for our common home and care for people in need belong together.
By sharing food with neighbors facing hunger, we put these commitments into action, offering care, hope and a reminder that no one is forgotten.
We invite your ministry location to participate in a Holy Cross Province food drive from now through the holiday season.
Together, we can put our Passionist mission into action by helping neighbors who face food insecurity.
Participating locations will:
-
Serve as a local drop-off point for food donations, setting your own collection dates.
-
Publicize the food drive in your publications, parish bulletin, to retreatants, etc.
-
Connect with a local food bank, pantry or community organization that addresses food insecurity.
-
Coordinate with that partner on deadlines, needed items and delivery of donations.
The Province will provide:
to help you publicize the drive and let your community know that your location is participating.
If your location has a ministry that addresses food insecurity, please let us know. We would love to learn about your work and explore how this effort can support it.
Sign up to participate
The deadline to be included in Province-wide promotion is November 2.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to bring our Passionist Family together in care for our neighbors throughout the holiday season.
Blessings,
The Laudato Si’ and Communications Teams
